5 things Learnt for. Ravana

Though some people even consider him not truly evil, but Ravana surely was the most iconic antagonist ever mentioned in our stories. Surpassing all other demons and villains of all other epochs, he stands out due to his vicious deeds.

  1. Murdered his brother-in-law: On his way to conquering heaven, he faced his brother-in-law Kalkeya, and taken over by ambition, murdered him brutally. It was Kalkeya’s wife, Ravana’s sister Surpanakha who set him up against Rama to ensure his downfall.
  2. Brutalized Saints: Ravana was known to have tortured and murdered several saints who peacefully meditated on his kingdom grounds. This was due to his hatred for lord Vishnu, whose believed incarnation Rama ultimately defeated him.
  3. Mistreated women: He tormented innumerable women only for his lust. He had famously kidnapped Sita, the ‘apsara’ Rambha, a poor Brahmin lady Vedavati, and several others. Vedavati cursed Ravana that a woman will become the reason of his fall.
  4. Greedy beyond measure: Ravana conquered the throne of Indra and stole the entire treasury of Devas from his brother Kubera to build his empire Lanka as the most glorious ever.
  5. Proud as hell: Having seen defeat at the hands of King Bali, Monkey-King Baali, King Arjuna, Lord Shiva and many others, Ravana still considered himself the mightiest and immortal. Thus he fought the exiled prince Rama and his army of monkeys, only to see defeat at the hands of the supposedly weakest opposition ever.

Several other sins decorated the vile history of this demon-king. He truly remains unparalleled in his villainy.

Biggest lesson that life has taught

LIFE  has taught me lessons too many to mention, therefore I will only list those that are imposed by the ill of society. Our aspirations that we foster as children are blown up to smithereens as we begin to age. From failure we learn humbleness and for success we learn that happiness was its sacrifice. The lessons we learn are not all reflective of our successes but deflective in our failure looking for that unseen fulfillment in which we elude ourselves in. Silence is wisdom & wisdom is power.  Ernest Psiachari, a French writer from the 1800’s expressed- Silence is a bit of heaven that comes down to earth. True words of wisdom. Slumbering ego awakened by the dim-witted.  To imply that every human being has an ego which is normally in slumber. But if the dim witted awakens my ego, I will wreak havoc. I will boast about my achievements, only when my ego is provoked. The secret of success stays secret.  To work harder than my competitors by not offering any inform...

Dont dream Big

Dreaming big is absolutely needed if you are ambitious and want to stay busy working on projects. If you want to spend your life chilled out - then the answer is no. So the first thing is to figure out what do you want out of life: busyness or relaxation. If you’re asking this question I am going to assume you are at least quasi-interested in pursuing an ambitious goal, so with that in mind, I’m going to answer the question -  how  is the best way to pursue a big goal. We hear a lot around ‘dreaming big’, but the crazy part is, rarely do people teach much past that attention grabbing headline. Big dreams - and big results - are lovely on glossy magazine covers, but the reality is far less glamorous. As such, here are the less glamorous parts to dreaming big. a) If you’re going to dream big and work hard, you’re going to have to link your work to a deep emotional driver. Dreaming big means a lot of small failures, and you are going to need additional motivation when things don’...

The Rising Cost of Education: The Commoditization of School Fees

Introduction: Education is often regarded as the foundation for a successful and prosperous future. Parents work tirelessly to provide their children with the best possible education, believing it to be a gateway to a brighter tomorrow. However, in recent years, the cost of school fees has escalated at an alarming rate, causing significant financial strain on families. This blog aims to shed light on the commoditization of education in India and the role played by Big EdTech firms in exacerbating this issue. The Soaring Costs: The increasing school fees in India have reached unprecedented levels, leaving many parents concerned about their ability to afford quality education for their children. For instance, with school fees amounting to a staggering 3.8 lakhs, which exceeds the median annual salary of an IT fresher, it is evident that education expenses have become exorbitant. While there are more affordable schools available, many parents strive to give their children the best educati...
